TERMS OF USE & SERVICE AGREEMENT

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or “User”) and HumansHere Meta Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, having its registered office in Bangalore, Karnataka, India (“HumansHere”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms govern your access to and use of the HumansHere mobile application (available on iOS and Android), website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform” or “Services”).
BY ACCESSING, DOWNLOADING, REGISTERING FOR, OR USING THE PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS, OUR PRIVACY POLICY, AND COMMUNITY GUIDELINES, EACH OF WHICH IS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY CEASE ALL USE OF THE PLATFORM AND UNINSTALL THE APPLICATION.
If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
NO GUARANTEE: HumansHere is only a facilitating platform. We do not guarantee, warrant, or represent that you will:
Achieve any matches or connections
Develop any relationships with any User of any kind.
Experience compatibility with any User
Achieve any specific outcomes or results from using the Services
The success of your experience depends on numerous factors beyond our control, including but not limited to your profile content, preferences, behavior, location, and the actions of other Users
While the Platform may facilitate connections that lead to serious relationships or marriage, HumansHere is not a traditional marriage bureau and does not provide matrimonial services as defined under applicable Indian laws. We do not verify family backgrounds, horoscopes, or conduct traditional matchmaking services.
1. PLATFORM OVERVIEW AND NATURE OF SERVICE
HumansHere is a dating and matchmaking platform, with a distinctive focus on arranged dating, self-expression, and compatibility-based discovery. The Platform allows Users to:
Create and maintain personal profiles
Share written entries photographs, and personal information
View compatible profiles
Discover and match with other Users
Communicate through in-app chat or messaging services
For the purposes of these Terms, “Arranged Dating” refers to a user-led, curated dating framework facilitated by the HumansHere platform.
HumansHere does not provide third-party matchmaking services, including but not limited to family-led, parental, community-based, or algorithmic matchmaking on behalf of users. There is no involvement of parents, relatives, intermediaries, or external decision-makers in arranging matches.
The term “Arranged Dating” is used solely to describe the way in which users choose to present themselves, express preferences, and initiate connections through the Platform’s features, including writing-first profiles and guided, intention-led interactions.
HumansHere acts only as a technology platform that enables users to discover and engage with other users based on self-selected criteria. All interactions, communications, and decisions to connect, meet, or pursue a relationship are made independently and voluntarily by users.
HumansHere does not guarantee, represent, or promise any specific outcome, including companionship, matches dating success, emotional compatibility, relationships, or marriage. Outcomes, if any, depend entirely on user participation and mutual consent.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform in any manner, you expressly acknowledge and confirm that you:Have read and understood these Terms
Agree to be legally bound by these Terms and all incorporated policies
Agree to comply with applicable laws and regulations
Possess the legal capacity and authority to enter into this binding agreement
Will use the Services in accordance with these Terms and applicable law
If you do not agree, do not access or use the Platform.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND VERIFICATION
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to access or use the App. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
You are at least 18 years old;
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law; and
You are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable laws.
All information you provide is accurate, current, complete, and truthful
You intend to use the Platform lawfully and in accordance with these Term
HumansHere reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account if it reasonably believes that a User is under the age of 18.
4. REGISTRATION & ACCOUNT SECURITY
To access certain features, you must create an account, by providing required information, which may include:
Full name
Date of birth
Email address and mobile phone number
Location information
Language
Gender identity and preferences
Additional profile information as prompted
You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
Immediately notify HumansHere of any unauthorized use of your account;
Not misrepresent your identity, age, location or any other material information
Use your real name and genuine photographs (no impersonation or fake profiles)
Use the App in compliance with these Terms, applicable laws, and community standards.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. HumansHere shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials or any unauthorized use of your account by you or third parties
5. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You agree to:
Use the Platform respectfully and lawfully
Interact with other Users with kindness and consent
Respect boundaries and disengage when requested
Not harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or abuse any User
Not engage in any form of hate speech, discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristics Comply with these Terms, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines
You are solely responsible for your behavior, content, and interactions.
6. USER-GENERATED CONTENT
6.1 Ownership
Content you create and upload (text, photos, videos etc) to the Platform remains yours
HumansHere does not claim ownership of your personal content
6.2 License to HumansHere
By uploading content, you grant HumansHere a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, revocable license to:
Host, display, store, and process your content
Operate, improve, and maintain the Platform
Use limited excerpts for platform promotion (not unrestricted advertising)
This license exists only for the limited purposes set forth above and terminates when you delete your content or account
6.3 Platform Content
All HumansHere-created content, including:
App design, layout, interface, and user experience
Software code, algorithms, and technical infrastructure
Text, copy, prompts, and editorial content
Graphics, logos, icons, and visual designs
Prompts
Features
Brand assets
Trademarks, Service Marks
are the exclusive property of HumansHere , protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and applicable international treaties and may not be copied or reused without permission.
No Liability for User Content
HumansHere is not responsible for and does not endorse any user-generated content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, or legality of any user content. Your interactions with content and other Users are entirely at your own risk.
7. PROHIBITED USE AND CONTENT & NSFW POLICY
Without limiting the generality of other provisions, you expressly agree NOT to:
Use the Platform for any unlawful, illegal, or unauthorized purpose
Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
Infringe or violate the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
Engage in hosting, uploading, or sharing any content that is paedophilic, depicts children in sexual acts, or is otherwise harmful to minors
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
Engage in any commercial activity, advertising, or solicitation without prior written consent
Use the Platform to solicit money, goods, or services from other Users
Distribute spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other unsolicited communications
Harvest, collect, or store personal data about other Users without authorization
Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Platform
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform or any systems or networks
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Platform
Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Platform
Frame, mirror, or scrape any Platform content
You agree not to post, upload, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that:
Is unlawful, illegal, or promotes illegal activities;
Is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or exploitative;
Is hateful, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory;
Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party;
Misrepresents your identity or impersonates another person;
Contains malware, spyware, or any harmful code.
HumansHere reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove any content or restrict access to the App at its sole discretion.
8. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES & MODERATION
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Community Guidelines.
Upon determining that content or conduct violates these Terms or Community Guidelines, HumansHere may, in its sole discretion:
Issue a warning to the User
Remove or restrict offending content from the Platform
Limit visibility of the User's profile or content
Temporarily suspend the User's account for a specified period
Permanently terminate the User's account and ban the User from the Platform
Report the User to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where legally required or appropriate
Pursue legal action for severe or repeated violations
Users may report and block others. Appeals may be submitted via support by contacting support@humanshere.ai.
9. SAFETY & USER INTERACTIONS
HumansHere encourages Users to exercise caution and good judgment when interacting with others, whether online or offline. While we implement various safety features and policies, YOUR SAFETY IS ULTIMATELY YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY. You agree that:
You will not share sensitive personal or financial information with Users;
You will take reasonable precautions before meeting any person in real life;
Be cautious about sharing photographs that reveal your location or personal details
Be alert to signs of fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative behavior
You will report suspicious or harmful behavior through the AppHumansHere is not responsible for the conduct of any User, whether online or offline.
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE:
HumansHere is not responsible for and shall not be liable for:
The conduct, behavior, or actions of any User, whether online or offline
Any interactions between Users that occur outside the Platform
Any physical, emotional, financial, or other harm resulting from User interactions
The accuracy, truthfulness, or reliability of any information provided by Users
Any criminal conduct, fraud, deception, or misrepresentation by Users
Any decisions you make based on information obtained through the Platform
If you experience or witness any criminal activity, immediate danger, or emergency situation, contact local law enforcement authorities immediately. Do not rely solely on reporting through the Platform.
CHILD SAFETY & PROTECTION FROM ABUSE
Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and any form of child exploitation.
Prohibited Conduct: Users are strictly prohibited from hosting, uploading, or sharing any content that is paedophilic, depicts children in sexual acts, or is otherwise harmful to minors as per Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules, 2021.
Proactive Monitoring: We use automated tools and human moderation to detect and remove CSAM.
Mandatory Reporting (POCSO Compliance) In accordance with Section 19 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, HumansHere has a legal obligation to report any knowledge or suspicion of child sexual abuse to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
We will cooperate fully with the Special Juvenile Police Unit or the local police for any investigation.
Failure by a user to report such offences may also be a punishable crime under Indian law.
Behavioral Monitoring Prohibition As a data fiduciary under applicable Indian data protection laws, we do not knowingly engage in tracking, profiling, behavioral monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children. Personal data of children, where collected, is processed solely for permitted purposes and in accordance with applicable law.
Reporting Mechanism If you encounter any profile or content that involves a minor or depicts child abuse, you must report it immediately via the in-app "Report Abuse" button or email our Grievance Officer at support@humanshere.ai.
10. NO BACKGROUND OR IDENTITY VERIFICATION
HumansHere does not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification, or screening of Users. Your interactions with other Users are entirely at your own risk.
No Representations: HumansHere makes absolutely no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding:
The identity, background, character, or intentions of any User
The accuracy or truthfulness of any information provided by Users
The safety, suitability, or compatibility of any User
The criminal history, marital status, or personal background of any User
Assumption of Risk: Your interactions with other Users are entirely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for:
Evaluating other Users before interacting with them
Investigating any User's background, identity, or information
Taking appropriate precautions to protect your safety
Any consequences arising from your interactions with Users
No Liability: HumansHere shall not be liable for:
Any false, misleading, or fraudulent information provided by Users
Any criminal conduct, fraud, deception, or harm caused by Users
Your reliance on any information provided by or about Users
Any injury, damage, or loss resulting from User interactions
Verification Rights
HumansHere reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to:
Request proof of age or identity at any time
Verify your representations through available means
Suspend or terminate any account where we have reasonable grounds to believe the User is under 18 years of age or has misrepresented their age, identity, or eligibility
Report suspected underage Users to appropriate authorities
Consequences of Ineligibility
If you are found to be ineligible or have misrepresented your eligibility:
Your account will be immediately terminated without refund
You may be permanently banned from creating future accounts
We reserve all rights to pursue legal remedies for fraud or misrepresentation
Any subscription fees paid will be forfeited without refund
11. PAYMENTS, SUBSCRIPTIONS & PREMIUM SERVICES
Certain features of the App may be offered on a paid subscription (“Subscription”).
Premium plan: ₹2,499, monthly (auto-renewable) (or as displayed in the App at the time of purchase).
All purchases are processed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store ("App Marketplaces") using the payment method linked to your Store account.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
The user’s account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the applicable subscription price.
All purchases are generally non-refundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods, except as required by local law or the specific policies of the App Marketplaces.Payments are processed through third-party app marketplaces or payment processors.
Users may manage or cancel their subscriptions at any time through their respective third-party app marketplaces account settings.
Note: Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription. You must manually cancel the subscription through your device settings to stop future billings.Restore Purchase: If you change devices or reinstall the App, you can restore your active subscription via the "Restore Purchase" button located in the App’s settings.
HumansHere does not control billing disputes, chargebacks, or refunds processed by such platforms.
Subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the applicable marketplace’s policies.
HumansHere reserves the right to modify pricing or features at any time.
12. LICENSE – END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
The App is licensed, not sold, to you for use on compatible devices. Your use of the App is subject to the applicable standard end user license agreement imposed by the platform or app marketplace through which you download the App, as well as these Terms.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by HumansHere. This is a license, not a sale. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the App or Platform.
Your use of the App downloaded from an app marketplace is also subject to the applicable standard End User License Agreement (EULA) imposed by:
Apple: For iOS applications downloaded from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree to the Licensed Application End User License Agreement available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Google: For Android applications downloaded from Google Play Store, you acknowledge and agree to the Google Play Terms of Service available at https://play.google.com/intl/en_us/about/play-terms/
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the applicable app marketplace EULA, these Terms shall govern with respect to your use of the Services, while the marketplace EULA shall govern with respect to your use of the app marketplace itself.
Intellectual Property Ownership
All intellectual property rights in and to the Platform, including but not limited to:
Software code, applications, and algorithms
Designs, interfaces, layouts, and user experience elements
Text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and audio/visual content
Trademarks, service marks, trade names, and branding
Patents, trade secrets, and proprietary information
Databases, data compilations, and data structures
Documentation and help materials
are owned exclusively by HumansHere or its licensors
13. ACCOUNT DELETION & DATA RETENTION
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:
Your profile and content will be removed from public view;
Upon account deletion, HumansHere shall erase your personal data from our active systems and ensure our Data Processors do the same, except where retention is necessary for compliance with any law for the time being in force. After account deletion, we retain only what we must keep to satisfy law, security, tax, or legal defense, and delete everything else, subject to our privacy Policy and applicable laws.
You may contact support to request deletion of retained data, subject to applicable laws.
Uninstalling the App does not delete your account. If you are a Premium member, your subscription will not be cancelled automatically. You’ll need to cancel your membership directly through the platform where you originally subscribed (App Store or Google Play). Once confirmed, account deletion cannot be reversed. You will need to create a new account if you wish to return.
14. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
HumansHere respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that any content on the App infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to legal@humanshere.ai with sufficient details to allow us to investigate and take appropriate action.
15. EXTERNAL LINKS & SERVICES
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. HumansHere does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services. HumansHere does not control, monitor, or review Third-Party Services and is not responsible for any harm, damage, or loss resulting from your use of Third-Party Services Your use of such services is at your own risk.
16. DISCLAIMERS
The App and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. HumansHere disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
HumansHere does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Services.
HumansHere explicitly disclaims any guarantee, warranty, or representation that:
You will achieve any matches, connections, or interactions with other Users
Any match or connection will lead to a relationship of any kind
You will be compatible with any User recommended or matched to you
Any relationship formed through the Platform will be successful, lasting, or satisfying
You will meet your relationship goals or find a suitable partner
The success of your experience depends on numerous factors beyond HumansHere's control, including but not limited to your profile, preferences, behavior, location, timing, and the actions of other Users.
No Guarantee of Availability
HumansHere does not guarantee that:
The Platform will be available at all times or without interruption
The Platform will be free from technical errors, bugs, or glitches
Scheduled maintenance or updates will not affect service availability
The Platform will continue to operate in your region indefinitely
We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Platform (or any features thereof) at any time without liability.
No Guarantee of Security
While HumansHere implements reasonable security measures, we cannot and do not guarantee:
Absolute security of your data or communications
Protection against all security breaches, hacks, or unauthorized access
Prevention of all fraudulent or malicious activities by Users
Complete privacy or confidentiality of your information
You acknowledge that internet and mobile communications can never be completely secure.
17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
HumansHere, Affiliates, Officers, Directors, Employees, Agents, Licensors, and Service Providers (collectively, the "Humanshere Parties") shall not be liable for any or any and all claims nor shall be liable to any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages;
HumansHere makes no guarantee regarding matches, compatibility, relationships, or outcomes;
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to discontinue use.
In no event shall HumansHere’s total liability exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the preceding twelve (12) months.
18. FORCE MAJEURE
HumansHere shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Acts of God (natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics)
War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions
Internet service provider failures or telecommunications outages
Power outages or infrastructure failures
Strikes, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions
Hacker attacks, denial of service attacks, or cyber incidents
Changes in law or government regulations
19. INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HumansHere, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, demand, suits, legal proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and litigation costs) arising out of:
Your use of the App, Your access to, use of, or inability to use the Platform or Services;
Your content made available through the Platform;
Your conduct, behavior, or interactions with other Users, whether online or offline
Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
Your indemnification obligations under this Section 19 shall survive the termination or expiration of these Terms and your use of the Platform.
20. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Disputes shall be:
Attempted to be resolved amicably
Subject to arbitration where applicable
Ultimately subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, HumansHere shall be entitled to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of HumansHere's intellectual property rights, confidential information, or proprietary rights, without the requirement of posting a bond.
21. MISCELLANEOUS
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
Entire Agreement: These Terms together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and any other policy constitute the entire agreement between you and HumansHere regarding the use of the Services.
Modifications: HumansHere may update these Terms from time to time at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Assignment: You may not assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder, in whole or in part, whether voluntarily or by operation of law, without the prior written consent of HumansHere. Any attempted assignment, transfer, or delegation without such consent shall be null and void. HumansHere may freely assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms and any rights and obligations hereunder, in whole or in part, without restriction and without prior notice to you
