Child Safety

Orange Flower

At HumansHere, protecting children is not just a policy requirement — it’s a responsibility we take seriously and without exception. We maintain zero tolerance for any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children in any form.

Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Exploitation

HumansHere does not allow any content that involves or depicts child sexual exploitation or abuse, whether real or fictional. This includes text, images, illustrations, media, digital content, or links that portray or reference sexually explicit conduct involving a minor.

Uploading, storing, producing, sharing, or encouraging the sharing of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is strictly prohibited — even if the stated intent is outrage, discussion, or awareness. Any violation of this policy results in immediate account removal and may be escalated to relevant authorities, in line with applicable laws.

Content That Includes Children

We understand that members may want to talk about their lives, including experiences involving their children. Any references to children must always remain appropriate, relevant, and lawful.

If a user chooses to include photos involving children, those images must follow strict standards. Children must be fully clothed and must not appear alone in the image. These rules apply even to childhood photos of the user themselves. Images showing babies’, toddlers’, or children’s genitalia or buttocks are not allowed under any circumstances — even if partially covered, blurred, or hidden using emojis, stickers, or filters.

Reporting Concerns on HumansHere

If you suspect that a user or piece of content is not complying with these child safety standards, you can report it directly through the app. All reports are reviewed by our team, and we take action after careful evaluation. Protecting children and maintaining platform safety is always our top priority.

Legal Frameworks Protecting Children

India’s child protection laws are robust and clearly defined. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, serves as the primary legislation for prosecuting child sexual offences and mandates child-friendly reporting and judicial procedures.

Mission Vatsalya, the government’s flagship child protection initiative, integrates services across the country through Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) and Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs). Oversight is provided by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), which monitors implementation and can take direct action in specific cases.

Reporting & Law Enforcement in India

When it comes to child safety, reporting and intervention are critical. In India, multiple systems exist to ensure swift action, and HumansHere fully cooperates with these frameworks when required.

The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) acts as the central technical authority for handling child exploitation reports in India. Individuals can report child sexual abuse material or related concerns anonymously through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in.

For serious or high-risk cases, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) operates a specialized Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (OCSAE) unit focused on prevention and investigation. India also collaborates internationally on cybercrime matters, allowing authorities to act on reports involving Indian IP addresses.
