HumansHere is built on empathy, honesty, and connection, but your safety always comes first. Here’s how to stay safe while sharing your story and connecting with others.
Recognizing Red Flags
Most people use HumansHere with genuine intentions, but some don’t. Watch out for:
Anyone asking for money, financial help, or personal details.
People who try to move conversations off the app too quickly.
Messages that feel overly pushy.
Anyone who refuses to verify their profile or avoids other verification.
If something feels off, trust your instincts. You can always block or report a profile.
Bullying, Disrespect, or Vulgarity
Kindness is core to HumansHere. If someone is rude, disrespectful, or uses inappropriate language, it’s not okay.
You can:
Block them: they won’t be able to message or see you again.
Report them: our team will review the case privately and take appropriate action.
Our reporting system is completely confidential.
What to Do If You Feel Unsafe
Your comfort matters more than any conversation. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe:
Stop engaging immediately.
Block and report the person.
Reach out for help if needed: you can find verified mental health helplines in the HH Companion section under Profile Management.
If you’re ever in danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Supporting Someone in Crisis
If another user expresses thoughts of self-harm or suicide:
Encourage them to reach out for professional help.
Let our team know by reporting the profile so we can step in quickly.
You can also share the helpline number from the HH Companion section with them.
Our Community Promise
HumansHere is more than a platform, it’s a shared space built on trust. We expect everyone to:
